Job description

GXM is seeking a Deputy Technical Program Manager to join our team to support execution of advanced defense and space-related mission programs focused on operational Command and Control (C2), mission systems integration, cloud modernization, and enterprise capability delivery.
The ideal candidate will serve as a key integration and execution leader responsible for coordinating activities across engineering, operations, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and mission support teams. This individual will help synchronize technical efforts, manage program execution activities, track risks and actions, and ensure alignment of capability delivery efforts supporting mission objectives.
This role requires strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills with the ability to manage complex dependencies across multiple stakeholders while maintaining visibility into program execution, delivery milestones, and operational priorities.
This role is onsite in Colorado Springs, CO. Hybrid flexibility may be available over time based on mission requirements, program execution needs, and achievement of objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Lead integrated execution coordination across technical, operational, and mission-focused workstreams.
  • Synchronize Minimum Viable Product (MVP) releases, capability deliveries, operational demonstrations, and deployment activities.
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination among Government stakeholders, mission partners, program leadership, engineers, architects, and operational users.
  • Identify, track, and manage program risks, dependencies, schedule impacts, and mitigation activities.
  • Maintain action item tracking, issue resolution, decision logs, and follow-up activities to ensure accountability and execution.
  • Support day-to-day integration, synchronization, and delivery management activities required to achieve program objectives.
  • Develop and maintain integrated schedules, milestone plans, dependency trackers, and execution roadmaps supporting program delivery.
  • Facilitate recurring synchronization meetings, readiness reviews, technical exchange meetings, and stakeholder coordination forums.
  • Support planning and execution of operational readiness activities, mission rehearsals, capability demonstrations, and deployment events.
  • Monitor program execution status and provide leadership with updates, metrics, dashboards, and delivery reporting.
  • Ensure execution activities remain aligned with mission objectives, operational priorities, and contractual requirements.

Requirements
  • U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Program Management, or related technical discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience supporting technical programs, systems integration efforts, operational mission environments, or engineering delivery organizations.
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple technical teams and stakeholder organizations within complex operational environments.
  • Experience managing schedules, dependencies, action items, risks, milestones, and delivery activities.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or similar delivery frameworks.
  • Experience utilizing Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or similar program management and collaboration tools.
  • Strong organizational, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively within fast-paced mission environments.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting defense, space, intelligence, or multi-domain operational environments.
  • Familiarity with Command and Control (C2) systems, mission systems, or operational mission environments.
  • Experience supporting MVP releases, operational demonstrations, capability deployments, or Initial Operational Capability (IOC) activities.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification preferred.

$100,000 - $165,000 salary + annual bonus eligibility + medical/dental/vision/STD/LTD/Life + 401(k) + PTO
