Job description

While the ideal candidate can live anywhere for this remote/hybrid position, the preferred residency locations would be Dallas and Las Vegas.
Position Overview
The Event Logistics Manager is responsible for managing the execution of assigned project scope for large-scale events and the logistics therein. The Event Logistics Manager will ensure successful execution of events by following Technical and Production Standards and supporting the implementation of processes and SOP's that drive consistency in event production. The Event Logistics Manager is responsible for the onsite event logistics management including the receiving, distribution and return of equipment, leadership of event execution teams and overall success of assigned scope. This position will partner with Project Management, Sales, and Operations teams in determining event logistics requirements and communicating details with all parties. The Event Logistics Manager will report to the Associate Director, Project Management.
Key Job Responsibilities
Event Execution
• Assume oversight of inventory management throughout the event.
• Communicate the project plan and client expectations to event team for assigned scope.
• Communicate onsite changes, including schedule, equipment or workforce modifications.
• Mentor and communicate with Encore Team Members on event execution and best practices to help improve the local knowledge base and experience in the market.
• Ensure compliance with established Technical Standards and Production Standards.
• Directly manage all flows to subsequent events and ensure equipment is packed, labeled, and shipped successfully to the next event.
Equipment Operation
• Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of advanced audiovisual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications section.
• Troubleshoots technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they arise.
• Complies with all Company security and safety measures.
• Ensures equipment is secure from theft and/or damage when in use.
Customer Service
• Provides excellent service and strives to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
• Maintains a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication.
• Collaborates with internal team on event solutions pre-event and during event to ensure the best possible customer satisfaction.
• Understands and fosters the hotel/client relationship.
Training/Staff Development
• Creates an atmosphere that fosters the development of technical and leadership skills in other employees.
• Provides mentorship and coaching to technical, sales and operations team members to develop technical skills as needed.
• Develops self as subject matter expert event execution.
• Stays current with technology and industry trends.
Event Supervision
• Performs advanced work (pre/during/post event) with operations team members as assigned.
• Supervises and directs technicians during an event.
Equipment Maintenance
• Assists event team with proper security, storage, inventory, transportation, and maintenance of equipment.
• Performs inventory and forecasting of equipment needs.
Job Qualifications
• BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of technical experience in the Corporate Staging or Broadcast industry, project management experience preferred
• 1+ year of Supervisory experience preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong Technical Background
• Familiarity with budgets and cost control
• Operational logistics experience
• Works well under pressure
• Ability to manage multiple complex job functions within a fast-paced environment
• MS Office experience required
• Technical diagram knowledge / experience preferred
• Ability to travel up to 75% may be required

Work Environment
Event Venue
Work is performed in a hotel/event venue environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members will use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components and will be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders. Team members may be asked to work in multiple locations. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
