Event Coordinator
Job Summary
The Event Coordinator must be a detailed-oriented person with a heart to serve at Cornerstone Chapel and the ability to work efficiently in a changing environment. The duties and responsibilities of an Event Coordinator center on planning and managing all aspects of events of varying sizes and purposes to ensure the events are carried out smoothly.This individual will demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit in all interactions with congregants, volunteers, and staff. Reports to Sr. Event Coordinator and is accountable to Director of Events on a daily basis.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum age of 18 required; Minimum age of 21 preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in an Event Coordinator or administrative support role preferred

  • Effectively communicates with Manager concerning any needs, issues, or concerns
  • Operates office equipment such as computers, printers/copiers, or phone systems, and requests repairs or updates when equipment malfunctions
  • Assists with setup and tear-down for school and ministry events
  • Attends meetings with manager to record minutes
  • Composes, types, and distributes meeting notes, routine correspondence, or reports, such as presentations or expense, statistical, or monthly reports
  • Collects credit card receipts and expense information from managers and submits to manager and accounting for approval and processing using Concur financial management system
  • Provides expense information for department invoices and submits to manager and accounting for approval and processing using Concur financial management system
  • Prepares reports, letters, expense statements, and other documents using Office 365 Word processing, Excel spreadsheet, or PowerPoint presentation software
  • Learns to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented like MS Loop and MS Planner
