Position Overview
Season Dates: August 19 โ€“ October 20, 2026
Stipend Range: $3,300 โ€“ $4,500 (commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Mondayโ€“Thursday, 3:30 p.m. โ€“ 4:30 p.m.
Why Coach at Graland? Maximize your afternoon hours before your evening clinic peak times! Graland Country Day School is looking for a passionate Tennis Pro or Coach to co-lead our Middle School tennis program. Based out of the premier Gates Tennis Center, youโ€™ll work with a motivated group of 24 students (split into focused groups of 12 per practice/match) to develop their skills, etiquette, and love for the sport.
Primary Responsibilities
  • On-Court Instruction: Deliver high-energy, engaging practices focusing on stroke mechanics, match strategy, and tennis etiquette.
  • Match-Day Leadership: Coach players through approximately seven competitive matches, teaching them how to compete with grace and integrity.
  • Logistics amp; Safety: Help with transportation of students as needed, driving Gralandโ€™s 14-passenger school bus.

Qualifications
  • Solid experience in tennis instruction (USPTA/PTR certification preferred). Excitement for breaking down the game in a way that Middle School students can understand.
  • Serve as a role model for students emphasizing sportsmanship and court etiquette, as well as developing technique.
  • Be a dependable leader, ready to bring expertise to practice and matches, and being a pillar of support for the team.
