Role Description We are looking for a Marketing Communications Intern to support our brand voice, content, and outreach efforts over an eight-week summer program. This is a hands-on role for a student who wants real ownership of communications work at a growing firm. Strong performers will be considered for an extension beyond the initial term.

What You'll Do

  • Draft and edit written content across channels, including social posts, newsletters, and outreach copy

  • Support communications for both Summr Capital and the Summr Institute, adapting tone for professional and academic audiences

  • Help maintain a consistent brand voice across all published materials

  • Assist with content calendars, scheduling, and performance tracking

  • Research audiences and messaging angles to strengthen outreach campaigns

  • Contribute ideas in a small, fast-moving team where your work ships

What We're Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program, ideally in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Finance, Business, or a related field

  • Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to clarity and detail

  • Comfort adapting tone for different audiences, from casual social to formal professional

  • Self-directed and reliable in a remote environment

  • Interest in finance, investment management, or fintech is a plus

  • Must be eligible to receive college credit for the internship

Qualifications

  • Ability to demonstrate skills in Marketing Communications and Strategic Communications for financial or professional services audiences.

  • Strong Communication skills, including clear writing, editing, and presentation abilities.

  • Experience or coursework related to Press Releases and Public Relations, including media outreach and stakeholder communication.

  • Interest in finance, investments, or ESG-focused organizations, with willingness to learn industry concepts.

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.

  • Comfort working remotely, with reliable internet access, time-management skills, and attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with digital communication tools (e.g., social media platforms, email marketing tools, or content management systems) is beneficial.
