What are escrow transactions?

Escrow transactions are financial arrangements where a third party holds and regulates the payment of funds required for two parties involved in a transaction. This process ensures that both the buyer and seller meet all the agreed-upon conditions before money or property changes hands. Escrow is commonly used in real estate, online sales, and other significant financial deals to protect both parties from fraud or default. The escrow agent or company is responsible for managing documents, payments, and ensuring compliance with the contract terms.
