About Us Capital Pump & Equipment (CPE) is a leading provider of industrial pump rentals and fluid-handling solutions. The Role We're seeking a Yard Assistant/General Laborer to join our Chandler, AZ operations. In this hybrid role, you will support both the service and field crew(s) with a primary focus on ensuring that all equipment and ancillaries are accounted for and maintained in and out of field. Key Responsibilities

  • Load, secure, and unload equipment such as pumps, hoses, pipe, manifolds and fittings, using forklifts, pallet jacks and rigger.
  • Stage orders accurately from pick tickets; verify counts, sizes, and condition before dispatch and after return.
  • Perform check-in and check-out inspections (visual condition, guards, couplings, strainers, clamps, gaskets).
  • Inventory and organizational tasks (maintain bin locations and yard layout).
  • Restock consumables, separate damaged items for repair or scrap.
  • Support field crews with urgent pulls/returns and off-hour storm/flood response.

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in construction, industrial rental, landscaping, or warehouse/yard environment preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks, or willingness to learn. CPE will provide training and certification (Forklift/MSHA).
  • A positive, go-getter attitude, willingness to learn, and work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Physical requirements include frequent lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling 50 - 75 pounds, repeated bending, kneeling, crouching, twisting and overhead work, climbing on/off trucks and trailers, walking/standing for extended periods, and working outdoors year-round.
  • Regular use of personal protective equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, high-visibility vest, hearing protection, etc. required.
  • Ability to work overtime and regional travel required.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record required; CDL is a plus.
