INDUSTRY: Equipment Rentals
LOCATION: Permian Basin / Midland-Odessa, TX Area
CONTEXT: Our client is seeking an experienced and high-performing Dispatcher to join their team. This role is responsible for coordinating a fleet of truck drivers for the delivery and pick-up of specialized rental equipment. The ideal candidate will have direct experience navigating the high-volume, fast-paced logistics environments typical of the energy services sector. This position requires an organized coordinator who excels at real-time problem-solving and can efficiently manage assets and drivers across remote field operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate and dispatch truck drivers for the efficient delivery and pick-up of rental equipment across various oilfield jobsites.
  • Manage high-volume daily scheduling, efficiently routing multiple trucks and field service crews per day.
  • Monitor driver locations and job progress in real time to ensure strict adherence to safety and delivery timelines.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for drivers, field service teams, and clients to ensure seamless operations and high service levels.
  • Provide immediate, real-time problem solving to resolve daily logistics challenges such as equipment breakdowns, transit delays, and urgent reroutes.
  • Support remote field operations by maintaining a strong grasp of changing jobsite logistics and terrain challenges.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, dispatch logs, and documentation for all equipment movements.
  • Work a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the flexibility to fulfill on-call duties every third week.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 to 5 years of proven experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or fleet management.
  • Prior experience working in the oil & gas, energy services, or heavy equipment rental industry is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated capability in handling high-volume scheduling environments (managing multiple trucks/crews simultaneously).
  • Familiarity with Permian Basin-style high-volume dispatch operations and remote field site logistics.
  • Proven track record of coordinating field service teams, commercial drivers, or heavy equipment deliveries under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication skills, professional phone etiquette, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient with modern dispatch systems, GPS tracking tools, and standard office software.
