Job description

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team supporting mining operations. This role is ideal for professionals with a solid foundation in equipment maintenance who are ready to take on more responsibility in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy-duty mining equipment, with a focus on Caterpillar (Cat), Hitachi, and Komatsu machinery. Your expertise will help ensure our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime in demanding field conditions.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in mining or other heavy industrial environments.
  • Technical diploma, trade certification, or equivalent experience in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment technology, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
