The Los Angeles Equestrian Center (LAEC) is a one-of-a-kind, 75-acre property nestled in the heart of Griffith Park, dedicated to the love of horses and the equestrian community. LAEC offers a welcoming space for equine enthusiasts and professionals alike, providing boarding facilities, training arenas, and a calendar of events that range from local competitions to prestigious equestrian showcases. In addition to serving as a hub for horse-related activities, LAEC is also home to various special events, blending the charm of nature with the energy of LA's cultural scene.

Summary

This position is responsible for the overall accurate service and accounting of all transactions of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains accurate accounting of all cash and inventory on assigned bar.
  • Performs location worker assignments.
  • Maintains safe working conditions and sanitary work area for employees.
  • Plans for daily sales flow based on projections.
  • Plans for peak hour sales and makes change requirements known to the Bar Manager.
  • Organizes all paperwork for cashier responsibilities:
  • Physical inventory stand sheet
  • Cash slips
  • Verifies the proper item prices to the beverage menu.
  • Maintains accurate cash handling procedures at all times.
  • Performs location worked duties as assigned.
  • Follows all rules and regulations of Food and Beverage.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older (where applicable).
  • Must have basic working knowledge of cash handling procedures.
  • Must have sufficient math ability to accurately count money and make change quickly.
  • Must have basic working knowledge of concession/cafeteria operation.
  • Must have ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work

Hours of Work and Travel Requirements

  • Event-based
  • Varies by show to include days, nights, weekdays, and weekends.
