Our IT department's mission is to provide technology leadership that advances Mount Sinai's mission, by delivering reliable, secure, and effective solutions with high quality customer service. We are looking for an experienced Epic Ambulatory Analyst to support our hospital network's clinical information systems.Position Responsibilities
  • The Epic System Analyst under direction of senior team members performs workflow analysis and design with input and guidance from key operational leadership. Facilitates workflow adoption on new processes.

  • Provide day-to-day ambulatory operational support, ongoing maintenance and configuration of the EPIC Electronic Health Record software in order to support Mount Sinai Medical Center's business goals and objectives and to improve patient care.

  • Communicate with end users of the EPIC software to understand issues encountered and develop solutions.

  • Participate and provide support for enterprise initiatives, such as system upgrades, new integrations, and the configuration of new functionality.

  • Participate in the analysis and design of system enhancements.

  • Contribute to the analysis, design, configuration, build, testing, and application administration as needed.

  • Perform systems administration activities in the EHR such as new user setup, workspace configurations, role setup, e-prescribing enrollment, etc.

  • Participates in system testing events by executing scripts. Accurately documents and reports any noted errors or deficiencies.

  • Provides support to department/end users during system upgrade and optimization activities

  • Executes assigned tasks under the supervision of senior team members/management. Tasks are completed within specified time frame.

  • Utilizes system knowledge and available resources to address routine issues.

  • Actively participates in departmental and customer team meetings. Provides input and acts as a team resource by taking notes or other support activities.

  • Achieves and maintains up-to-date application knowledge for assigned applications/process areas. Utilizes appropriate resources to further knowledge to address issues or complete assigned tasks.

  • Actively participates in testing of downtime processes. Activities may include executing test scripts working with end users or other tasks to support downtime activities.

  • Upgrades/Optimizations - Performs system activities related to upgrades and optimization with vendor assistance.
  • Projects and New System Implementations - Executes assigned tasks within specified time frame. Able to manage multiple projects while maintaining portfolio of regular support assigments
  • Issue Resolution - Utilizes system knowledge and available resources to address routine issues.
  • Leadership - Actively participates in departmental and customer team meetings. Prepares and presents substantial portions of meetings on a regular basis. Acts as a team resource by taking notes or other support activities.
  • Knowledge - Achieves and maintains up-to-date application knowledge for assigned applications/process areas. Utilizes appropriate resources to further knowledge to address issues or complete assigned tasks.
