JOB TITLE: Epic Analyst - Professional Billing (PB Analyst)

SUPERVISOR: IT Director

HOURS PER WEEK: 40/Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Information Technology

HIRING BONUS: $1,000 after 90 days

The Portland Clinic is seeking a certified or accredited professional billing analyst to support the day-to-day operations within IT department.

The following information is designed to outline the essential functions and position requirements of this job. It does not identify all tasks that may be expected, nor address the performance standards that must be maintained.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Serve as a subject matter expert in Epic applications, providing analysis, configuration, and support to enhance system functionality and user experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
1.Analyze user requirements and workflows to configure Epic applications accordingly.*
2.Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to optimize system performance.*
3.Provide ongoing support for Epic upgrades, enhancements, and troubleshooting.*
4.Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures.*
5.Conduct training sessions and create user guides for end-users.*
6.Participate in testing and validation of new features and updates.*
7.Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.*
8.Serve as a resource for Epic-related projects and initiatives.*
9.Engage in supporting end users to ensure optimal usage of systems including workflow optimization.*
10.Ensure work requests/incidents are worked efficiently and addressing root cause of problems.*
11.Collaborate and communicate to keep the IT team and clinical stakeholders informed of status and progress on assigned work.*
12.Perform additional duties as required to support departmental goals.*
13.Maintain regular, in person, work attendance and punctuality, as scheduled.*
14.Participate as an active care team member in a patient centered medical home.
15.Other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Epic certification or accreditation Resolute Professional Billing.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Minimum of 3 years experience in Epic systems analysis and support.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

EDUCATION/LICENSES PREFERRED:
EpicCare Ambulatory certification or accreditation
Experience in project management and system implementation.
Knowledge of healthcare operations and clinical workflows.
Excellent oral, written, and one-on-one communication skills, able to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
Capacity to partner with clinic and technical team leaders in planning and implementing technology training solutions in support of new applications.
Experience in a clinical, administrative, financial, or technology department in healthcare setting is strongly desired.
Able to present in front of large groups.
Experience developing and conducting training in medical setting.
Able to evaluate student development needs and effectively recognize student successes.
Experience with Visio software to document workflows and diagrams.
