Job description

CTG is seeking an experienced Epic Grand Central Analyst to support a large-scale Epic implementation initiative. This role is responsible for the design, build, testing, optimization, and support of the Epic Grand Central module, with a focus on patient movement workflows across the healthcare enterprise.
The analyst will partner closely with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure efficient patient throughput, bed management, transport, transfer center, and capacity management workflows are successfully implemented and optimized.
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Pay Rate: Up to $80/hour

Drive the Implementation
  • Lead and support the end-to-end Epic Grand Central rollout
  • Design future-state workflows that improve patient throughput and operational performance
  • Configure core functionality including:
    • Bed planning & bed management
    • Transport workflows
    • Transfer center operations
    • Patient movement tracking
    • Capacity management
  • Partner with leaders to reimagine hospital flow and efficiency

Build, Test & Deliver
  • Own Epic build, configuration, and documentation
  • Execute unit, integrated, and UAT testing
  • Troubleshoot issues and drive resolutions through go-live and stabilization
  • Support integrations across ancillary and third-party systems

Collaborate & Influence
  • Work closely with nursing, patient access, transport, and IT teams
  • Lead workflow design sessions and requirement gathering
  • Communicate clearly on timelines, risks, and project milestones
  • Be a trusted partner during go-live and beyond

Support & Optimize
  • Help develop training materials and user workflows
  • Support super users and command center activities
  • Identify opportunities for ongoing optimization and performance improvement

What You Bring
  • Epic Grand Central Certification (required)
  • Proven experience in Epic implementations (build + go-live)
  • Strong knowledge of hospital operations & patient flow
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Bed management & capacity planning
    • Patient movement & transport workflows
    • Testing, validation, and system optimization
  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical solutions and operational needs
