Job Summary:

A Vail Resorts Team Lead acts as a front-line supervisor, driving daily operational excellence, safety, and "Epic Service" across various departments like base operations, lift, or hospitality. They are responsible for training, mentoring and disciplining staff. Key requirements include strong communication, problem-solving skills, and flexibility for weekend/holiday work.

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $23.00/hr - $27.05/hr
  • Employment Type: Year Round 
  • Shift Type: Full Time and Part Time hours available
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Leadership & Staffing: Trains, coaches, and evaluates staff performance, including progressive discipline.
  • Operational Excellence: Manages daily operations such as opening/closing procedures, equipment maintenance, and facility readiness
  • Guest Service & Safety: Delivers "Epic Service" by resolving complex guest issues, maintaining high safety standards, and conducting employee training.
  • Communication & Support: Liaises between staff and management to ensure effective pass-downs, often involving collaboration with security or local law enforcement.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience: Often requires 1–5 years of previous supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality, security, or guest services.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to work outdoors in, sometimes extreme, alpine weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Skills: Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel) and proficiency in English
  • Schedule: Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
  • Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check.

The expected pay range is $23.00/hr - $27.05/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
