Job description

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Project Manager with environmental remediation experience to support our growing backlog of environmental remediation projects along the east coast with current focus on project sites in and around the Linden, New Jersey area. The preferred candidate would be someone that has extensive experience managing long term/large value Federal remedial construction projects who possesses an established track record of success. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are a must, including the ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both written and verbally, to all project team members including client representatives and regulatory personnel alike. This is a full-time position. Remote worker status may be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project planning and execution in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.
  • Assembles and leads project team members in all phases of project tasks, from work plan preparation to implementation and completion of field activities.
  • Applies managerial and technical expertise to improve effectiveness and provide guidance to project team members.
  • Daily client communication and coordination with on-site project team and various support staff.
  • Delivers project financials and deliverables on or under budget, and on or ahead of schedule.
  • Applies technical expertise to improve effectiveness and provide guidance to project team members.
  • Perform various project administration support activities from initiation through project closeout.
  • Manage project records in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Strict adherence to company safety and quality programs

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have a minimum of 15 years' experience in managing environmental remediation projects.
  • Experience managing federally funded remedial construction projects; USACE project experience on cost reimbursable projects is preferred.
  • Possess a Bachelors' degree or higher in a related scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Active PE or PG registration is preferred.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training with current 8-hour refresher certificate required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime, including weekends, to meet project deadlines.
  • Occasional travel required.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
