About the job

LOUISVILLE OR LEXINGTON! Client is seeking to hire an experienced Environmental Remediation Engineer for either our Louisville office or our Lexington office. This position will provide environmental remediation services on RCRA, Superfund, and UST sites.

Objectives, tasks, and standards:

  • compliance with environmental policies and procedures while working with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies to stay informed of regulatory laws

  • interpret environmental site investigation data on contaminated sites

  • design in-situ remediation, dual phase extraction, pump and treat systems, and wastewater treatment systems

  • manage budgets and subcontractors

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • previous experience with remedial planning and design

  • strong verbal and written communication skills

  • intimate knowledge and application of Microsoft Excel

  • proven ability to work on and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • previous experience performing environmental monitoring and sampling required

Education and training:

  • 4+ years of experience in remediation engineering

  • additional certification or licensure appropriate to the job may be required or preferred

  • 40-hour Hazwoper certification

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering is a minimum requirement along with the ability to obtain a Professional Engineer license

  • skills in soil science, chemistry, and hydrology are essential
