Job description

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS
    • Education
      • Skill and proficiency in applying the principles, concepts and techniques which are central to managing a major department in a hospital setting. Knowledge of basic business concepts necessary to manage, schedule, counsel and assist in directing the department. Two year degree preferred or three years of work experience required without degree.
    • Experience
      • Knowledge of management principles and procedures.
    • Physical
      • Normal hospital environment. Occasional exposure to heat, steam and cold. Normal/corrected eyesight. Hearing within normal range. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. Uses computer, telephone, copier, chemical preparation equipment. Frequent walking. Infrequent lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds.

  • JOB SUMMARY
    • The Operations Manager in Environmental Services is a member of the management team that provides high quality cleanliness standards and service to all customers within budgetary guidelines. Coordinates all functions to maintain an efficient operation with quality outcomes. Supervises the Environmental Services staff and assures compliance with procedures, mission and standards. Routinely assigns and responsibly directs staff. Works closely with the Senior Operations Manager and routinely, assigns and responsibly directs staff. This position is required to utilize independent judgment.
