  • Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks such as greasing, oiling, cleaning, changing filters, and documenting worn components.

  • Assist with machine repairs, troubleshooting, and building maintenance tasks including replacing lights, door seals, plumbing, floor, wall, and ceiling repairs.

We are hiring an Entry Level Maintenance Tech to join our team! We are hiring for 1st shift. We work a 48 hour work week.

1st shift: Monday-Thursday 6am-4pm (10 hours) Friday 6am-2pm (8 hours)

Swanson Wiper is a contract paper converter that converts non-woven wipers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Maintain equipment and workspace in a safe manner in keeping with good housekeeping practices under OSHA Standard 1910.22(a) and Swanson Wiper Corporation requirements.
  • Immediately correct any known unsafe conditions within their ability or immediately inform management and maintenance technician of unsafe conditions requiring additional aid.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety requirements and protocols specified by Swanson Wiper Corporation; including lockout, personal protective equipment, lift truck safety, machinery training, etc.
  • Maintain proper hygiene, including proper handwashing whenever necessary.
  • Wear clean clothes in good repair.
  • Keep food in approved break areas and off the production floor.
  • Maintain machines and work area in clean and sanitary condition.
  • Immediately inform supervision if possibility of product contamination.
  • Communicate with other departments when extra time is needed for a repair

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least two years' experience in manufacturing.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
