Job Summary:
Tech Rage IT is an award-winning technology firm providing Managed IT Services and IT consulting. They are seeking an IT Support Desk Technician to provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, while gaining hands-on experience with various technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Receive and triage incoming support requests.
• Provides first-level telephone, email, remote and onsite support for computers, networking, software, and other technical issues; average 10-20 support tickets per day.
• Work with third parties and vendors to assist with warranty, support, and/or service issues.
• Document technical support issues and resolutions.
• Achieve and maintain a 90% or higher customer satisfaction average score.
• Maintain proper time tracking and time management discipline to achieve efficiency goals.
• Continually train and earn certifications to stay up to date on new technologies and processes.
Qualifications:
Required:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 years' experience providing stellar customer service by interacting with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Demonstrated interest, education, or hands-on experience in IT/technology field.
• Understand basic operations of computer hardware, software, and networking.
• Available 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday - 8am to 5pm with 1 hour lunch.
• Participation in on-call rotation; ability to work overtime, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• In-office attendance in Winter Springs, FL.
• Able and willing to do local travel to Central Florida client sites; reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance.
• Wear company-provided shirt onsite.
• Successfully pass pre-employment verification checks.
Preferred:
• 4 year degree in Computing and Information Sciences or Information Technologies field
• CompTIA IT Foundations and/or A+, Net+, Secure+ or similar certifications
• Formal Microsoft training
• Previous I.T support or internship experience (any combination of education and experience that has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary will be considered.)
