Job description

Scheduler

The Scheduler is responsible for the scheduling of regular and overtime shifts for full and part-time field employees in all Capstone service models and other Rural Metro organization as assigned in accordance with Company Policy and applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement(s). The Scheduler is responsible for making, changing, and tracking travel by utilizing software and per the company policy.

Essential Functions

  • Works well with others, skilled in problem identification and resolution, brings a team and organizational success mind set.
  • Oversight for all daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for the operations division.
  • Strong word processing ability and able to edit complex documents.
  • Ensures cost effective, efficient, and operational solutions to coordinating ground, air transportation, and hotel accommodations.
  • Effective verbal communication with all levels of personnel and customers.
  • Successfully identify solutions that balance the needs of the employees, operations, and customers.
  • Ensure satisfactory reconciliation and synchronization of scheduling information.
  • Review and verify employee hours for accuracy on job tickets. Assist in recording and maintaining employee attendance records in Salesforce.
  • Prepare various reports and documents for review and analysis. These may include personnel stats, absence reports, WHP inspection reports and others as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with all locations specific operating procedures, collective bargaining agreements, union contracts, etc.
  • Schedule public relations demonstrations, standbys, and special event staffing.
  • Promptly and courteously respond to inquiries from field and leadership personnel.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Including information systems security. Know and follow information systems, security policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, UKG, Concur, and Salesforce
  • Prior scheduling and staffing experience preferred
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Schedule

  • Schedule will be 40 hours a week, variable days and hours. May include remote weekend days and shift time could start at 6am and could end as late as 10pm (including remote hours).
  • The pay range for this position is $24 - $26/hour

Professional office setting frequently working under time pressure, performing repetitive tasks, multiple tasks, and competing priorities while providing a timely and efficient work product with accuracy.
