Job Description
The Center for International Studies at Ohio University seeks to fill temporary, part-time positions of Instructor of International Studies. Applicants may apply to teach one or multiple courses.
Potential courses include undergraduate survey courses such as Introduction to African Studies (INST 1100), Introduction to European Studies (INST 1400) and Introduction to Latin American Studies (INST 1600) as well as upper division capstone courses such Global Problems, Local Solutions (INST 4960) and War and Peace Capstone (INST 4950) - among others. These are all interdisciplinary courses.
The courses must be taught in person on the Athens campus. On-campus instruction requires three hours in-class instruction per class per week and an additional hour per week for office hours.

  • Graduate training in the topic or theme of the course to be taught.
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness.
