Traveling Project Manager | Mission Critical / Data Centers | Nationwide Projects
We're partnered with a nationally recognized commercial general contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing Mission Critical team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building complex projects and is open to traveling for work. The first assignment will be a ground-up data center in Raleigh, NC, with future opportunities across the United States. You could stay on mission critical projects or could switch to high-rise/mid-rise projects after the initial.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Lead project schedules, budgets, subcontractor coordination and client communication.
- Work closely with Superintendents, owners, architects and engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage project financials, change orders, procurement and risk.
- Maintain the highest standards of safety, quality and client satisfaction.
- Mentor Project Engineers and help develop project teams.
Requirements
- Experience as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor.
- Ground-up construction experience required.
- Data center, mission critical, industrial or other large, complex project experience is highly preferred.
- Strong financial management and scheduling experience.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel for projects nationwide.
Travel & Relocation
This role is designed for professionals who are open to working on projects throughout the country.
Candidates should be comfortable with one of the following:
- Being on-site at project locations with company-supported trips home approximately every other weekend, or
- Relocating to each project assignment with company-paid relocation assistance provided between projects.
The first assignment will be based in Raleigh, NC.
