Role Overview
The Proposal Manager / Writer supports the full lifecycle of federal proposal development from RFI to final submission. This role is ideal for someone early in their GovCon career who enjoys writing, coordinating teams, and helping shape winning proposals for federal clients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review RFPs / RFQs and create compliance matrices and outlines
  • Draft and edit management, technical, and past performance sections
  • Coordinate inputs from SMEs, capture managers, and partners
  • Maintain proposal schedules, templates, and content libraries
  • Support color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold) and track action items
  • Format and proof final submissions for clarity and compliance
  • Assist in preparing slide decks and graphics for oral presentations
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in English, Communications, Business, or related field
  • 12 years is preferred in proposal coordination or writing (preferably in GovCon)
  • Strong grammar, storytelling, and editing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Adobe PDF
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively in fast-paced settings
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to federal contracting vehicles (GSA, 8(a) STARS III, OASIS+, IDIQs or BPAs)
  • Interest in Salesforce, or FedRAMP cloud solutions
  • Familiarity with GovWin, SAM.gov, or proposal tools
  • APMP Foundation Certification (plus)
