Advanced Radiology is one of the largest independent radiology practices in the tri-state area with the most experienced radiologists. We look for team members who want to grow and be professionally challenged, while enjoying a rewarding, caring, and friendly environment. We are looking for a CT Technologist to join our team. The pay range for this role will depend on experience and qualifications.
Schedule: Saturdays 7:30am to 4:00PM
We are currently seeking a motivated, kind individual who will perform CT exams in accordance with exam procedures and protocols using independent judgment to ensure optimal diagnostic quality and exceptional patient care.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate highly complex CT equipment/scanners with demonstrated exceptional competence by selecting and establishing technical factors that will ensure high quality diagnostic images at the lowest possible dose.
  • Operate multiple power injectors, cardiac monitors, and other CT equipment safely, efficiently and effectively.
  • Work with IT department/CT engineers to ensure RIS/PACS software and hardware works efficiently with all CT equipment.
  • Monitor CT system performance and identify service needs to optimize equipment performance. Schedule appropriate maintenance times with vendors and service representative.
  • Define referring physicians' preferences for receiving images, obtain agreement and/or modifications from ARC physicians, communicate protocols and ensure appropriate delivery per agreements.
  • Receive and analyze requests for radiologic CT exams and recommend action to AR physicians. Responsibilities include screening patients according to contrast guidelines.
  • Actively seek and utilize feedback from managers, technologists and physicians to improve operations and service.
  • Demonstrate respect and regard for patients, family, visitors and all employees to contribute to a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
  • Promote and establish effective working relationships by fostering an environment that supports collaboration, teamwork, and mutual respect through effective communication and commitment to everyone's success; including a healthy rapport with radiologists and referring physicians.
  • Flexibility to work other locations and shifts as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Superior knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, CT technology, and procedures including 3D reconstruction.
  • Demonstrate commitment to excellence in patient care and exceptional customer service.
  • Extensive computer background with strong application understanding, especially RIS/PACS software knowledge.
  • Strong desire to learn and eager to take on new responsibilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, highly professional environment.
Educational Requirements:
  • College degree preferred
  • ARRT (RT)(R) and CT State License required
  • CT Certification required
