Job description

**Overview:**

We're looking for a diligent, dedicated Assistant Property Manager with experience in tax credits for our stylish residential community with 328 units in two phases. Our communities serve both a conventional market and affordable housing. Both communities have beautiful amenities, including swimming pools, laundry accommodations, sunny decks, and furry-friendly walkways.

We are committed to fostering a welcoming environment where residents feel valued and supported, and our Team is ready to assist. In this role, you will support the overall management of our apartment community, ensuring compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations and Fair Housing laws. Your proactive approach and excellent customer service skills will help create a positive living experience for our residents while maintaining operational efficiency.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Assist in managing daily property operations, including leasing, resident relations, and administrative tasks
  • Support compliance with LIHTC and Fair Housing regulations, and other legal requirements
  • Use Yardi and OneSite property management software to update resident records, rent payments, and leasing information
  • Conduct property tours, lease signings, and upselling of available units to prospective residents
  • Handle tenant inquiries, resolve conflicts professionally, and maintain positive landlord-tenant relationships
  • Coordinate property maintenance requests and oversee facilities management activities
  • Maintain accurate data entry, filing systems, and legal documentation to ensure regulatory compliance

**Qualifications:**

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required
  • Proven experience with LIHTC programs and tax credit property management
  • Familiarity with Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software tools
  • Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict effectively
  • Previous experience in real estate administrative roles or property leasing is highly desirable
  • Excellent office skills, including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and administrative support
  • Ability to negotiate lease terms and upsell units confidently while maintaining professionalism
