They typically help coordinate tasks, communicate with team members, track project progress, and ensure deadlines are met. Entry level project managers often work on smaller projects or specific aspects of larger projects, gaining experience and developing their skills for more advanced roles. Strong organizational and communication skills are important in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an entry level project manager?

To thrive as an Entry Level Project Manager, you need fundamental knowledge of project management principles, organizational abilities, and typically a bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Project, Trello, or Asana and basic understanding of methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall are often required, and a CAPM certification can be beneficial. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills help you coordinate stakeholders and manage project tasks effectively. These skills and qualities are crucial for delivering projects on time, within scope, and building the foundation for further career growth.

Job description

PROJECT MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT – ENTRY LEVEL

Don’t just get a job. Build a career.

OFFICE-BASED ADMINISTRATIVE POSITION — NOT A FIELD POSITION

We’re looking for a motivated, organized, dependable person with construction knowledge or experience to join our team and provide administrative support to our Project Managers.

This is a full-time office position focused on administrative and computer-based responsibilities. This is not a field or construction-labor position.

Some construction background is preferred. Project management experience is not required. We’re looking for someone with strong administrative and computer skills who is comfortable learning new systems and handling the details that keep projects running smoothly.

We’ll teach you our business, provide hands-on experience, and develop your skills with the goal of advancing you into a full-time Project Manager position.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS:

  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong in administrative and computer skills
  • Familiar with construction and job-site terminology
  • A good communicator
  • Dependable and motivated
  • Comfortable working with customers and a team
  • Eager to learn and take on more responsibility

WHAT WE OFFER:

Competitive compensation • Hands-on training • Supportive team environment • Real opportunity for advancement

If you have construction knowledge, strong administrative and computer skills, and the ambition to build a career—not just find a job—we want to meet you.
