MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced Operations Specialist located in Waukegan, IL. Our client is a Utility and Natural gas industry Leader looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. They are known to respect a traditional work week and often extend contracts for added job security and stability

Position Summary

We are seeking an Operations Specialist to provide administrative and operational support for a busy team. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for someone with at least one year of office or administrative experience who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with computer systems.

The Operations Specialist will support day-to-day office activities including data entry, payroll/timekeeping entry, customer appointment coordination, office supply ordering, meeting preparation, and updating internal systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, learns new systems quickly, and can manage multiple administrative tasks with accuracy.

Responsibilities

Perform accurate data entry and maintain information in internal systems.

Enter and update payroll and timekeeping information.

Schedule and coordinate customer appointments.

Receive and respond to routine calls and inquiries from customers and employees.

Update records and operational information as needed.

Order and maintain office supplies.

Assist with meeting preparation and setup.

Provide general administrative and operational support to the team.

Communicate with internal departments and employees to help ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

Follow established procedures while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of office or administrative experience.

Basic understanding of Windows-based computer applications.

Comfortable using email, word processing, spreadsheets, and other standard office applications.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
