Job Title: Union Payroll Specialist

We're looking for a detail-oriented Union Payroll Specialist to support payroll for our construction workforce. In this entry level role, you'll process union payroll, reconcile hours worked, verify wage rates, and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements. You'll work closely with field teams, project staff, labor unions, and internal partners to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
The ideal candidate has experience in a fast-paced construction, union, or field payroll environment and some exposure to union contracts and multi-state payroll. If you enjoy supporting craft employees, solving payroll challenges, and working in a fast-paced construction environment, you'll be part of a collaborative team where accuracy, service, and continuous improvement matter.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $29 - $37 (negotiable) hourly. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. What You Bring
  • An associate's degree, preferably in a accounting or finance, is required. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Two or more years of payroll processing experience required preferably in a union payroll or construction general contractor setting.
  • Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a confidential setting.
  • Intermediate Microsoft O365 required.
  • A valid driver's license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons' ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes.
