Department Summary
Oregon Tech-OHSU physical therapy professionals will be uniquely prepared to practice in rural communities and treat a variety of physical therapy needs. This includes working with diverse patients with a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds and conditions. Having access to high quality PT providers will create a healthier Oregon with more equitable care across the state.

Position Summary
This position is for a 9 to 12-month "Visiting Core" faculty position on the Klamath Falls campus in the College of Health, Arts, and Sciences, Department of Physical Therapy. The OIT/OHSU DPT Program's unique themes include Rural Healthcare, Evidence-Informed Practice, and Emotional Intelligence.
The successful candidate will be part of a core team educating, mentoring, and advising students to cultivate the knowledge, psychomotor skills, and professional behavior required for entry-level clinicians. Core faculty will maintain a mix of teaching, scholarship, service, and clinical activity to maintain licensure, currency in the field, and meet accreditation requirements.

  • Licensed or eligible for physical therapist licensure in Oregon within 3 months of start
  • Academic Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DSc, etc.)
  • Teaching Expertise and research agenda to meet 2024 CAPTE Standards in an accredited DPT program

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 or more years academic teaching experience
  • Experience in assisting with CAPTE accreditation
  • Evidence of clinical practice in rural areas
  • APTA specialist certification
