Logistics Specialist (Entry Level) – Elk Grove Village, IL
$22-$25/Hour + unlimited OT at time and a half
(Full health benefits, 2 weeks PTO, 401(k) match)
Every shipment tells a story—but only if the data behind it is accurate.
At our company, logistics is driven by information just as much as transportation. Behind every order delivered on time is a team that manages inventory records, shipment tracking, reporting, vendor communication, and the operational data that keeps our supply chain running efficiently. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and keeping complex processes organized.
We are an established logistics and supply chain organization that supports customers across multiple industries through transportation management, warehousing, inventory control, and operational support. Our team combines technology, analytics, and strong customer service to help move products accurately and efficiently every day. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an entry-level Logistics Specialist who is ready to build a career in supply chain operations.
What You'll Do

  • Maintain and update logistics and inventory data across internal systems.
  • Monitor shipment activity and ensure transportation records remain accurate.
  • Review reports to identify discrepancies and resolve data issues.
  • Coordinate with carriers, warehouses, customers, and internal departments to support daily operations.
  • Prepare operational reports using Excel and other business systems.
  • Assist with process improvements by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency.
  • Ensure documentation complies with company procedures and customer requirements.
  • Perform additional administrative and operational support tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred; associate’s degree is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, reports, and large amounts of data.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • Previous internship, office, supply chain, or administrative experience is helpful but not required

Why This Role?

This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in supply chain management while developing skills in logistics coordination, business operations, data management, and process improvement. You will work alongside experienced professionals, learn industry-leading systems, and build a strong foundation for long-term career growth in logistics, operations, procurement, or supply chain management.
