Job description

Salary: $16/hr - $22/hr DOE

Position Overview

This is an entry level position in the Nutrition Department of the Company. This position requires the individual to workclosely with all EDTC Employees, Management, and Clients while supporting the mission of the EDTC to provide clinical andnutritional counseling services to those in need. Employee will provide support to the Director of Nutritional Services andother Nutrition Staff during group programs and services. Employee may be assigned to provide research on issues ortopics as required by the Director of Nutritional Services. Employee may be required to assist with meal plan managementand weight measurements for participants in group therapy programs and provide close supervision of clients participatingin such programs as needed. Employee will support the dietitian team with some clerical needs including scheduling newclients, returning phone calls, and faxing information to referring providers and/or clients.


Job Functions:

  • Assist Clinical Staff as directed during Group Therapy Program Sessions.
  • Assist Nutrition Director or Senior Staff Clinicians as needed in preparation of program materials, researching clinical treatment modalities, preparation of clinical session notes, etc., with regard to nutrition and dietetics.
  • As employee progresses over time, may provide individual counseling and therapy to clients and/or families on nutrition and dietetics, under the direct supervision of the Director of Nutrition Services.
  • Assist in development and helping clients implement effective meal planning to reach and maintain recommended body mass index or other established nutritional or biometric parameters.
  • Assist dietitian team with clerical needs.


Position Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelors Level Degree program in Nutrition or related curriculum such as human nutrition, nutrition education, foods and nutrition, or public health nutrition.
  • Demonstrate a specific interest in working with those suffering from an eating disorder or related diagnosis.
  • Commitment to HIPAA Requirements and Companys Implementation of such.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Willing and able to work as a part of team to achieve company objectives with regard to Client Counseling and
    Support.
  • Expected hours are afternoons and evenings.
