Position Summary

The Medical Call Center Representative often serves as the initial contact for the public and many company affiliates of ImmunityBio and our products. This position will respond to a variety of telephone inquiries regarding ImmunityBio's products, greet and assist visitors to Company facilities, and provide administrative assistance to management and staff as requested.

Essential Functions

  • Answer telephone inquiries from external parties regarding ImmunityBio's products. Clarify desired information and respond to requests using standard procedures and detailed product references. Escalate more complex requests to appropriate subject matter experts for handling.
  • Document inquiries and input requestors' information to maintain contact database.
  • Greet clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person's visit and directs or escorts them to the appropriate location.
  • Answer visitors' questions, calls, and emails, and provide them with relevant information.
  • Follow Security procedures and issue visitor badges.
  • Assist in the collection of swabs for COVID and other testing as needed.
  • Organize the reception area while complying with office procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Sign for deliveries and ensure all mail and packages are distributed accordingly.
  • Perform administrative support as requested by management and staff, including opening and distributing mail, maintaining files, ordering office supplies, and preparing routine correspondence and reports.
  • Enhance organization reputation by providing excellent service to external parties interested in ImmunityBio.
  • Performs ad-hoc and cross-functional duties and/or projects assigned to support business needs and provide developmental opportunities.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required
  • 2 years of receptionist or call center experience required
  • Experience in a medical or medical insurance office, pharmacy or health science environment would be helpful, but not required
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Pharmaceutical Technician experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • General knowledge of medical and/or pharmaceutical terminology
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Friendly and pleasant manner
  • Strong Data entry skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Working Environment / Physical Environment

  • This role will work on-site at our El Segundo, CA location.
  • The position will provide coverage from 6 am to 6 pm by covering one of three shifts: 6 am - 3 pm, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, or 9 am - 6 pm
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus and equity award. The hourly base pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience as well as geographic location.

$28.10 (entry-level qualifications) to $30.90 (highly experienced) per hour
