Pay Information:
Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rules or union contract terms.
External Hires: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
  • IS Support Tech 1 starts at $26.05 per hour.
  • IS Support Tech 2 starts at $32.32 per hour.
Job Summary:
IS Support Tech 1:
The IS Support Technician 1 provides entry-level technical support for organization wide information systems, hardware, and user devices under general supervision. This position focuses on learning and applying standard troubleshooting, imaging, and maintenance procedures to ensure reliable access to organization systems and applications for approximately 900 end users across inpatient, outpatient, and administrative settings.
IS Support Tech 2:
The IS Support Technician 2 provides journey-level technical support for organization wide information systems, hardware, and user devices under minimal supervision. This position operates independently within established policies, handling complex troubleshooting, imaging, and user administration tasks across multiple computing platforms and clinical systems for roughly 900 users.
Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
IS Support Tech 1:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Preferred Education: Associates degree in computer science or related field
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in computer or telecommunications service, computer hardware, software or network installation and setup; providing instruction in the use of computer hardware or software; or operating computers in an Information Systems environment that required familiarity with a variety of applications and functions.
  • Certification(s):
    • Preferred Certification(s):Desktop, operating system or infrastructure certifications such as Microsoft A+, MCSA, Net+
  • License(s): None
IS Support Tech 2:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Preferred Education: Associates degree in computer science or related field.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience OR One (1) year of experience as an IT Support Technician I.
    • Relevant experience includes computer or telecommunications service, computer hardware, software or network installation and setup; providing instruction in the use of computer hardware or software; or operating computers in an Information Systems environment that requires familiarity with a variety of applications and functions.
      • Preferred Experience: Experience in a healthcare facility providing credentialing, human resources, coding, and/or preparing confidential information
  • Certification(s): None
    • Preferred Certifications: Desktop, operating system or infrastructure certifications such as Microsoft A+, MCSA, Net+
  • License(s): None

Preference(s): Preference may be given to those who qualify for IS Support Tech 2.
