McKesson's US Pharmaceutical division is seeking a Health System Account Liaison to serve as a key customer relationship partner for our health system accounts, including hospitals, integrated delivery networks, and long-term care providers. In this entry-level field sales support role, you will work on-site with pharmacy directors, buyers, and staff to resolve customer issues, drive satisfaction, and support our account renewal strategy. You will collaborate closely with the field sales team and cross-functional internal partners to ensure our health system customers receive an exceptional experience. This role reports into the Health Systems field sales organization and is ideal for someone passionate about healthcare and customer service who thrives in a fast-paced, travel-heavy environment.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Manage customer relationships by serving as the primary day-to-day contact for small-to-mid-size health system accounts, proactively addressing issues and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Support the field sales team by handling sales support tasks and administrative functions, enabling senior sales executives to focus on strategic account growth and engagement.

  • Coordinate cross-functionally between customers and internal McKesson teams (operations, supply chain, contracting) to resolve service issues and communicate updates effectively.

  • Drive the customer roadmap by partnering with field sales to execute account renewal strategies and identify opportunities to present products, solutions, and services that benefit the customer.

  • Navigate contracting processes by supporting or leading contract negotiations for assigned accounts.

  • Spend the majority of your time on-site at customer locations, building trust and strengthening partnerships through regular face-to-face engagement.

  • Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet Company goals.

Basic Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience

  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical distribution, sales support, or customer-facing account management

  • Demonstrated experience managing customer relationships or resolving customer escalations

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience working within health systems, hospital pharmacy operations, or pharmaceutical supply chain

  • Familiarity with customer satisfaction metrics (e.g., Net Promoter Score) and account management tools

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of a customer organization

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 75%, including regular on-site visits to customer locations across assigned territory

  • Must be able to work in a field-based environment with frequent travel by car

Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:

$100,800 - $168,000
