Job description

All offers of employment by Milwaukee Valve Company, LLC. are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, blood test, physical capabilities test, and background check, all with acceptable results. Applicants are responsible scheduling and completing the required drug screen, blood test, and physical capabilities test within 7 calendar days of offer acceptance.

Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for Entry Level Assembly laborers to join our New Berlin, WI team in Department 520. The starting wage for this position is $21.15 per hour. This position is responsible for operating assembly machines to produce various size and types of valves, using tools and fixtures. Also, occasionally material handling and stocking of components at machine being operated.

The regularly scheduled hours for this position are 7:00AM-4:00PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may become a possibility or even required. When working overtime, the regularly scheduled shift is adjusted by 1-2 hours at either the beginning or end of the regularly scheduled shift. Please note, this department has been working the schedule of 6AM - 3:30PM, Monday through Friday, for an undetermined amount of time. While there is no guarantee how long this overtime schedule will continue, it is expected of this role indefinitely.

Summary - Operate assembly machines to produce various size and types of valves, using tools and fixtures. Occasional material handling and stocking of components at machine being operated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities to which competency will be measured include the following:

  • Operation of hand or bench type power tools.
  • Operation of air and hydro testers.
  • Learn set up and tear down for job changeovers with assistance.
  • Learn how to disassemble and repair product.
  • Minor material handling and stocking required.
  • Use of hoist and other lifting equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness in a prescribed manner.

Work is subject to final inspection.

Other duties may be assigned.
