JOB PURPOSE
The Assembler will perform any combination of the following tasks to assemble gear motors and components, subassemblies, products, or systems in a team environment. Read work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies, or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY

General Responsibilities:
  • Perform gear motor assembly at a work station or on a production line using hand or power tools including screw drivers amp; drills, following verbal and written instructions.
  • Perform visual inspection of components
  • Accountable for quality, quantity, and inspection of work performed
  • Work in a team environment to achieve Quality and Throughput
  • Report defective material, product or questionable conditions to supervisor
  • Pack finished goods amp; break down boxes as required
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, and report any unsafe situations to supervisor, manager, or human resources
  • Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills amp; Abilities

Education
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience
Required: 3+ Months experience in a manufacturing or factory environment
Preferred: 1+ Years experience in manufacturing or factory environment with assembly of mechanical components
Special Knowledge amp; Skills
Required: Must be familiar with and able to use hand tools, electric screwdrivers, drills, pliers, etc. Good hand/eye coordination and attention to detail. Ability to work well in a team environment.
Preferred: Able to work with speed and accuracy

  • Works with moving mechanical parts
  • Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Very active, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
  • Use of hands and arms to touch, lift, and reach
  • Talking and hearing for a majority of the time
  • Lifting and/or exerting up to 20 lbs. of weight/force frequently and up to 50 lbs. of weight/force occasionally. Moving 50 lbs. of weight/force occasionally.
  • Frequently exposed to production floor elements such as noise, dust, fumes, orders, and heat
  • Working in a factory facility without climate control
  • Cognitive requirements include ability to learn quickly, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and be highly productive without need for much supervision.
  • Must be capable of remembering, imagining, logical, numerical, and verbal reasoning, perceiving, problem solving, and providing output that users can act upon.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
  • As required in various production work areas including safety eyewear, gloves, safety shoes
