Apply Today Work Tomorrow Get Paid Weekly! Ascend Staffing is hiring a Day Shift Entry Level Lumber Yard Associates for a well-established lumber and hardware company in Olympia, WA.


IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS
  • Weekend availability REQUIRED

  • Lumber or hardware experience REQUIRED

  • Must pass pre-employment background check

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen (INCLUDING THC / Marijuana ZERO TOLERANCE)

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Valid Drivers License required upon permanent hire

  • Must interview at Ascend Staffing Centralia office


What We Offer
  • $17.50 $19.50/hr DOE

Job Duties
  • Assist customers in person and by phone

  • Recommend lumber and hardware products

  • Measure and cut wood accurately (tape measure required)

  • Process sales, returns, and refunds

  • Support yard operations and inventory organization

  • Stack and handle lumber materials

  • Maintain clean and safe work areas

  • Follow all safety procedures and team goals

  • Help keep store trip/hazard free

  • Do daily cleaning tasks


Schedule
  • Day Shift: 6:55 AM 3:30 PM

  • Monday Saturday

  • Weekend availability required

  • Days off may vary


Qualifications
  • Lumber or hardware experience required

  • Customer service experience required

  • Ability to use a tape measure accurately

  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors

  • Basic computer skills

  • Must be able to stand on feet for long hours

  • Must be able to lift 50ilbs

  • Strong communication skills

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

  • Reliable transportation required

  • Must be able to pass drug screening I

  • Must be able to pass background screening
