Position Summary

This is an entry-level laboratory role responsible for the complete execution of deliverables related to microbiology testing. This will require a review of samples to ensure testing is performed according to the provided work instruction. Fulfill microbiology role supporting new product development and production-related sterilization activities.   

Principal Responsibilities

   Execute routine Bacterial Endotoxin Tests and product bioburden tests according to provided work instruction
   Execute media growth promotion testing and Gram staining 
   Assist with nonconformance investigations, when needed
   Trend microbiology data and maintain lab tracking spreadsheets
   Execute testing to support sterilization cycle revalidations and product change assessments
   Perform investigations and provide technical support for non-conforming events and CAPA related to microbiology, when needed
   Maintain clean glassware and lab supplies
   May perform additional tasks, as assigned

Education / Experience Requirements

   Bachelor's Degree required in a related scientific discipline
   No previous professional experience required

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

   Understanding of basic laboratory requirements - including aseptic technique
   Strong computer literacy
   Ability to define, organize, and manage individual tasks
   Effective verbal and written communication
   Able to create and review technical documentation
   Interpersonal skills; working in a team and as an individual contributor
   Foster a positive culture of growth, collaboration, and achievement across the organization
