As an Environmental Laboratory Technician I in our Durham, NC lab,you'llbe responsible forassistingmultiple projects where you will haveincreasinginteraction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatoryagenciesand clients. You will be part ofa strong teamof committed professionals.

The compensation range for this role is $19.00 to $21.00, skills, and geographic location.

Schedule: Monday - Friday with occasional overtime/weekend work.

To thrive in this role,you'llbe comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

  • Prepare supplies for shipping to Clients for sampling events
  • Receive samples from Clients for Analysis by Method 325B
  • Basic operation of the GC/MS instrumentation to ensure supplies are clean for use by Clients
  • Maintaining clean and Organized laboratory areas
  • Maintaining organized records and documentation of supplies
  • Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency
  • Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation
  • Comply with Onterris Quality Assurance Program, Health & Safety Program and other policies
  • Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director

  • Associates degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
  • Prior Laboratory experience preferred but not required as this is an entry level position
  • Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Good organizational skills and strong communication skills
