Help Desk Technician

Location: Falls Church, VA
Clearance Level: Active DoD Secret Security Clearance


Position Summary

3 Reasons Consulting is seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide technical support services in Falls Church, VA.

This role is critical in delivering timely, customer-focused IT assistance, resolving technical issues, and maintaining secure and reliable access to mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in IT support, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced and highly secure environments.


Key Responsibilities

Services to be performed include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide Tier I and Tier II technical support for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.

  • Respond to and resolve service desk tickets in a timely and professional manner.

  • Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral hardware.

  • Support Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Assist with user account management, including account creation, password resets, and access control.

  • Document technical issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the service ticketing system.

  • Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.

  • Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate support teams or higher-level technical staff.

  • Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures, including IAT Level II requirements.


Help Desk Technician(Junior)

Education
Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience
Entry-level to early-career experience in IT support or service desk environments.

Certifications

  • CompTIA Security+

  • Microsoft Operating System Certification (or equivalent)

  • IAT Level II compliant (DoD 8570/8140)


Additional Requirements
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required

  • Ability to support onsite work in Falls Church, VA

  • Ability to work effectively in classified or secure environments
