Are you passionate about teaching others and sharing your knowledge? Advanced Technology Institute (ATI) in Virginia Beach, is seeking Industrial Maintenance professionals to join our instructional team.
ATI Instructors use an approved curriculum and present coursework that prepares the student to pursue a technical career in the Industrial Maintenance field.
The successful candidate is consistently motivating, engaging, mentoring, and encouraging students in order to build skills and confidence necessary to obtain entry level employment upon graduation. ATI Instructors must be a role model, set an expectation of the profession, and deliver quality educational opportunities to our students in a hands-on, vocational environment.
Responsibilities
  • Provide practical hands-on instruction to create an engaging learning environment.
  • Employ instructional technology and active learning approaches in order to enhance the learning experience and achieve learning outcomes.
  • Evaluate student technical knowledge and performance using a variety of assessments and techniques.
  • Participate in scheduled ATI activities.
  • Stay current in subject matter through professional development.
  • All other duties assigned.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
  • Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5 or more years of recent work experience in the Industrial Maintenance field.

Skills/Abilities:
  • This position requires availability for evening and weekend classes.
  • Ability to work with a variety of learning styles and skill levels.
  • Strong time management skills and detail-orientation.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications and the ability to quickly learn new computer software.
  • Experience with distance learning or learning management systems (LMS) preferred.
