Job description

As an Analyst in Institutional Equity Sales you will be responsible for partnering with a team of senior equity salespeople, helping to maintain and develop key investor client relationships. We are looking for someone with a strong intellectual curiosity, a passion for equity markets, a high degree of organization and attention to detail, and the ability to perform well under high pressure situations with the appropriate degree of urgency.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Supporting senior equity salespeople, attending corporate management IPO and follow-on presentations, backup coverage of existing equity relationships
  • Navigate products effectively across a broad range of clients (asset managers, insurance accounts, pension funds, banks, sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds etc.)  along with idea generation and market insight
  • Bring a collaborative approach working with our business partners in trading, research, banking, and syndicate to provide comprehensive client coverage across the platform

 Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: 

  • Experience in sales
  • Hard working and self-motivated team player, works well in small groups, collaborates well with partners in Research, Trading, and Capital markets
  • Critical thinker with the goal to help motivate stock idea generations and themes for clients
  • Understanding of fundamental product knowledge and market structure
  • Clear, logical thinker with strong qualitative skill set including effective communication and presentation
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: 

  • Series 7 & 63 license preferred but not required initially.  Expect candidate to complete these licenses if they do not have them already.
