Job description

RISE Housing and Support Services has an entry-level opportunity for an empathetic, insightful, and dedicated individual to join our team at our Rain House Program. A successful candidate will be able to navigate the daily duties of the program while keeping their focus on offering high-quality support and advocacy to our residents, as they work to overcome the life challenges their mental health diagnoses have presented.

RISE offers a starting Community Residence Counselor I:

  • A rate of $19.00 per hour with a 40 hour workweek
  • $1,500 bonus after 6 months of employment
  • Opportunities for overtime
  • A generous time off package: In your 1st year, earn up to 4 weeks of combined vacation and holiday time, 3 weeks of combined sick and personal time, and a day off for your birthday

Overview of Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with program residents to work toward their goals
  • Supervising residents’ daily living activities and house management to maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment
  • Maintaining current and accurate documentation on resident progress
  • Modeling positive and appropriate behaviors for residents

To qualify you must have:

  • An understanding of human services and the dedication to learn
  • A willingness to do what needs to be done to meet the goals of the program
  • An ability to operate independently, think on your feet, and follow your training
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal boundaries
  • Our shared belief system in areas such as compassion, respect, positivity, and inclusion
  • Successful completion of RISE background checks, a valid driver’s license and a driving history acceptable to the RISE automobile policy

Schedule:

  • We have a variety of shifts available with opporunities for day, evening, weekend, and overnight hours
