Entry-Level Mechanical Drafting Engineer

Position Overview
This entry-level Jr. Drafter role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience designing real-world infrastructure systems in a specialty niche industry that is critical in every city across the country. You will work closely with our experienced team of Drafters and production teams to create and refine designs used in underground utilities structures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed mechanical drawings using AutoCAD
  • Produce accurate drafting documentation for precast concrete structures
  • Apply basic fluid dynamics principles to water drainage and stormwater system designs
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and project teams
  • Revise and update drawings based on project specifications and feedback

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Recent Graduate required
  • Experience with AutoCAD and drafting fundamentals required
  • Understanding of fluid dynamics and water flow principles is a plus
  • Interest in or exposure to stormwater or drainage systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with Bills of Materials or willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
