Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary:
Students majoring or minoring in History or Communications are invited to apply to be a Lepage Center Fellow at the Albert Lepage Center for History in the Public Interest for the 2026-27 academic year.
The Lepage Center aims to bring historical scholarship and perspective to bear on contemporary events. The undergraduate fellow will work with the Center Director, the Assistant Director, and the Lepage graduate student fellow(s). Duties include:
  • Plan and facilitate programs and events;
  • Assist with marketing and promotion on the Hindsights blog and social media;
  • Identify and communicate with undergraduate student clubs and groups to promote the Center;
  • Attend weekly meetings;
  • Other duties as assigned.

One student fellow will be selected for the entirety of the academic year. Duties will be performed on dates that the university is open, and classes are in session, throughout the entirety of the fall 2025 and spring 2026 semesters. Students must meet Villanova, Pennsylvania and U.S. requirements for eligibility and receipt of payment. The selected fellow will work 10 hours per week (on average).
Requirements:
Students are required to be entering their junior or senior year at Villanova University.
Students majoring or minoring in History (including Art History) or Communications are preferred. To be considered for the fellowship, please upload your resume and a one-page cover letter in this application.
The undergraduate student fellow will formally apply to the position through Villanova University's online recruitment system. The student will be interviewed by the Director and Assistant Director. Human Resources will coordinate onboarding and collect all required employment documentation.
Additional Information:
The fellow is strongly encouraged to apply to earn academic credit through the Ellis Center for Undergraduate Students (formerly OUS). To earn academic credit, the accepted student must complete the online OUS Internship application. Once completed and accepted by this program, the student will be enrolled in HIS 2993, the three-credit History internship course, with grading and assignments designated by the appropriate faculty member of the History Department.
