POSITION SUMMARY
The Temporary Marketing & Community Relations Assistant supports both Marketing and Community Relations teams, providing an opportunity for hands-on experience with two organizational functions. For Community Relations, this individual will assist with coordination of community events, outreach activities, scheduling, communications, volunteer coordination, and event logistics. This individual will also help with attendance tracking, materials preparation, and follow-up communication to ensure events run smoothly and efficiently. For Marketing, this individual will support the Marketing department through administrative, clerical, and entry-level marketing tasks. This role provides an opportunity to learn marketing processes, assist with department projects, support written and visual materials, and contribute to a professional, team-oriented environment. Duties may include special assignments and confidential information.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Community Relations
  • Support coordination and logistics for increased summer community events and outreach activities.
  • Assist with scheduling, communications, registrations, materials, and event setup.
  • Provide additional staff capacity so full-time team members can focus on strategic community engagement.
  • Help coordinate volunteers, partners, and attendees to ensure successful events.
  • Maintain organized records, attendance tracking, and follow-up communications.
  • Bring added energy and support to community events during the busy summer programming season.
  • Other duties and projects assigned.

Marketing
  • Provides general administrative support for the Marketing Department, including maintaining files, processing departmental mail, and assisting with day-to-day department needs.
  • Maintains marketing supply inventory, storage areas, promotional items, merchandising materials, and display materials.
  • Prints flyers and fulfills merchandising requests from internal departments and business development.
  • Organizes Marketing Kits, general flyers, and department resources on organization intranet.
  • Supports event planning and coordination, including gathering and returning materials, coordinating staff participation, and assisting with branch or community events as needed.
  • Coordinates delivery of marketing materials to branch locations and may conduct branch visits to deploy materials, support events, and audit existing displays.
  • Proofreads marketing materials, website content, internal website content, and other marketing-related communications for accuracy and consistency.
  • Supports written marketing communications, including basic copy updates, content review, formatting, and proofreading.
  • Assists with messaging and distribution of content across marketing channels, including statements, in-branch displays, mail, ATM, Yelp, Google Business, and email.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with internal teams, vendors, and department partners.
  • Other duties and projects assigned.
