Remote Customer Support Specialist (Email & Chat) - EST Hours
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00/hour (DOE)
Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-5:00 PM EST
Duration: 3-Month Contract with Potential Extension or Conversion
The Fountain Group is hiring a Remote Customer Support Specialist for a prominent retail client. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with customer service, retail, or call center experience who enjoy helping customers through written communication. Recent college graduates with strong communication skills are encouraged to apply.
Please Note: This position supports customers through email and live chat only-no inbound phone calls.
What You'll Do
  • Respond to customer inquiries via email, chat, and written correspondence with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Resolve customer concerns using strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Document all customer interactions within the customer tracking system.
  • Collaborate with Store Managers, District Managers, and corporate teams to resolve customer issues.
  • Escalate sensitive or high-priority concerns when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow customer issues through resolution.
  • Support social media moderation activities by responding objectively and following company guidelines.
  • Manage multiple conversations and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of customer service experience in retail, customer support, or a call center environment.
  • Recent college graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Excellent written communication and grammar skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, email platforms, and customer service systems.

Interview Process
  • One 45-minute virtual interview.
    • First 30 minutes with two team members.
    • Final 15 minutes with two additional team members.

  • If converted, the anticipated hourly rate is approximately $22.00/hour.
