A typical day in an entry level distillery position involves assisting with the production process, such as measuring ingredients, monitoring fermentation, cleaning equipment, and filling bottles. You may work closely with other production team members to ensure product consistency and quality, following strict cleanliness and safety standards. This role provides hands-on experience and an opportunity to learn the distillation process from the ground up.

What is the career path in a distillery?

In an entry-level distillery role, employees typically start as production assistants or laborers, gaining hands-on experience with equipment and processes. Advancement can lead to positions such as distiller, supervisor, or quality control specialist, often requiring additional skills, certifications, or experience in fermentation, distillation, and safety protocols.
