Position: Production Associate Shift: Full-time
Hours: 40 per/weekOVERVIEW OF ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the master distiller in day-to-day operation of the distillery
Assist in managing the granary receive grain, operate the mill, monitor quality and grind of the grain
Assist in mashing operation, including record keeping
Monitor fermentation process samples, record keeping
Assist with distillations, including record keeping
Cut alcohol to proof for barreling
Run barreling operation filling, labeling of barrels, record keeping, forklift operation
Assist with bottling operation run filler, labeler, capper, pack and seal cases, stack cases on pallets, wrap pallets and prepare for shipping
Assist with shipping/receiving department labels, glass, other bulk goods
Quality assurance of raw distillate and finished products
Washing gear, general cleaning and maintenance of the distillery
Contributes to the continuous improvement of all distillation processes and procedures

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Positive disposition, good with people (co-workers and visitors)
Interest in craft distilling
No felonies on your criminal record (required by our state & federal regulators)
Be willing to work weekends
Must maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness
Comfortable working around potentially hazardous conditions
Education
Requires high school diploma. College degree preferred.
Experience
Experience in brewing (extensive home brewing counts) preferred. Experience in fermentation, fractional distillation, liquid packaging/bottling and/or chemical analysis a plus.
