Job description

Position Summary: Enthusiastic individuals with a passion for mixology and hospitality work as Bartenders in Training at our upscale craft cocktail bar and restaurant. This position will have a passion for mixology, a commitment to providing exceptional service, and the ability to thrive in a high-energy environment. This position requires all of the qualifications of server.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and serve a wide range of craft cocktails, wine, and beer to guests, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  2. Provide attentive and personalized service to guests, including taking orders, offering recommendations, and ensuring satisfaction.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing surfaces.
  4. Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
  5. Collaborate with kitchen and serving staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  6. Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and conducting regular inventory counts.

Requirements:

  1. Must be able to pass a pour test.
  2. Must know the top 10 house specialty cocktails by memory.
  3. Must know the wine by-the-glass and wine by-the-bottle list including name, style, region and vintage.
  4. Must know all of the spirits produced by Oxford Oaks Distillery, their flavor profiles and which drinks they are best included in.
  5. Must have a working knowledge of the back-bar products and can specifically walk a guest through bourbon, scotch, gin, tequila and vodka options.
  6. Minimum 1 year of experience as a bartender in a high-volume, upscale establishment.
  7. Extensive knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer.
  8. Strong customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  11. TIPS or Bar Smarts Certification.
  12. RASP NC training.
  13. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Compensation:

1.       This position is paid hourly at $7.50
