Job description

Taylorton Station Bar is looking for a dedicated and passionate Bar/Hospitality Specialist (Part Time) to join our dynamic team. This entry-level role is designed for individuals who are eager to develop their skills in bartending and customer service while embracing Taylorton’s commitment to creating an exceptional guest experience. You will be mentored by experienced staff members, with opportunities to learn the ropes of bar operations, work imperative events, cocktail crafting, and the art of delivering outstanding service. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service Excellence: Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional service at all times, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere that aligns with Taylorton’s guest experience standards.

  • Learning the Craft: Master basic cocktail ingredients and mixers, including house-made syrups, while assisting in the preparation of cocktails and beverages.

  • Bar Operations Support: Assist in setting up the bar, maintaining an organized and clean workspace, restocking supplies, and ensuring smooth operations during service.

  • POS System Familiarization: Learn the ins and outs of our POS system, accurately processing orders and handling transactions.

  • Inventory & Stock Management: Support with inventory management, including helping with restocking bar supplies and ensuring stock levels are maintained.

  • Event Setup & Breakdown: Assist in the setup and breakdown of events, including the preparation and organization of the bar area and supporting the team with keg building and ‘Neil’ setup.

  • Facility Knowledge: Learn and deliver a 30-minute tour of the facility to guests, providing insights into Taylorton’s history, ambiance, and offerings.

  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in regular feedback sessions and on-the-job training to improve your skills and understanding of bar operations and guest service.

Qualifications:

  • Eagerness to learn and develop bartending and customer service skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • A passion for providing outstanding customer experiences.

  • Basic knowledge of cocktail ingredients or a willingness to learn.

  • Must be 18 years or older.
