Job description

Summary

The Sales Development Representative executes direct marketing activities and lead nurturing initiatives associated with our global demand generation program.  This role makes outbound phone calls and emails associated with the initial qualification of new requests of Hyperion, database research and new contact qualification and outbound demand generation activities. This position includes cold and warm calling prospects to help generate and qualify demand. The primary responsibility of the Sales Development Representative is to support the sales team in our overall demand generation activities.

This is a hybrid position based in in our Dublin, OH location. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Is the first line of follow up to requests on our website for both hot and warm leads; pre-qualifies and processes leads in our CRM to a sales-ready state.
  • Supports the research of new accounts and new contacts for our CRM database.  Makes initial contact with non-customer prospects to qualify them as a potential target for our sales team.
  • Executes demand generation telemarketing initiatives, including follow-up to digital marketing initiatives with the goal of uncovering or developing an interest in Hyperion’s products.
  • Develops and executes nurturing initiatives to help convert cold requests into warm or hot, sales-ready opportunities.
  • Supports the sales team with market development initiatives and account based marketing strategies.
  • Engages with customers to build commitment to use their information in case studies and publishes final case studies across multiple channels. 
     
Qualifications

Occasional travel to visit customers or consultants.  

Education and/or Work Experience
  • BS Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Communications, MIS or similar is recommended, but not required.
  • 0-3 years working in a B2B sales or marketing role, with an aspiration for sales.
Technical Skills/Physical Requirements
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus
  • Desire and ability to make outbound calls as part of the pre-sales and sales process. 
  • Use of MS Dynamics is preferred.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.  Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of technical products.
  • PC/desk work including reading/typing.  
  • Ability to sit at a desk for large parts of the day to make outbound customer calls.
